JAI#43Just add Christmas

Love these waterfall cards thanks to my cousin Sue who learnt from her sister- in-law Cathy a Stampin'Up! demo.
The inking on this uses Champagne shimmer paint 1/2 and 1/2 ink applied with a dauber there is actually a nice shimmer in real life. The DSP is Jolly Holiday the stamp sets Contempo Christmas and Snow Swirled.
I've addes it to the   Just Add Ink     site for this weeks challenge.
Take 2 just add a bow and I think the plumb bob look has gone!!

JAI# 43 Just add Christmas

Just happened to take a photo of this card I made today after seeing a card made by Valita Reynolds and now this challenge so here is my card.
This one uses the ornament punch but extends it with a large heart underneath, the join is covered with the scallop oval and sentiment.  Valita cleverly made an  ornament out of several punches. I don't have the link just now but I bet it could be found by Googling her name and I think Fresh Folds was the blog name....found it  valitasfreshfolds.blogspot.com

I enjoyed making this because it came together in less than 10 minutes from what was in front of me  and addressed my challenge to come up with ideas to use the Circle Circus!! A good card to give my non cardy friends for Christmas. Anyway my man says it looks like a plumb bob and him being an engineer I will believe him I won't submit this one!!
The ingredients:Circles from Circle Circus, sentiments: Teeny Tiny Sentiments and So Swirly. Foliage is from the tree in Forest Friends.
Colours:  Not that Christmassy really. So saffron, Not Quite Navy, Old Olive  & Baja Breeze

cupcake flop.

The fairy floss  is quite silky at first and looks lovely on top. Then there is moisture and yuk. The star thing was a quick thought late afternoon to not add lollies and more sugar to the cakes. I thought to go lo cal. so the stars were made very quickly. This poor cake is the last lonely one. I think one of my kids will eat it!
By the way, the icing (butter) had the floss added to get the colour. The flavour of the floss is pistacio.

Birthday owl

Another birthday. I'm looking at the squiggle under the birthday and thinking I must try just inking that and using it for balloon string for the balloons in the party this way set... we shall see. Am a bit tired. A few late nights and workshop last night. MAde disasterous cup cakes ( no photo)  with Persian fairy floss on top. The floss kept it's shape for about 10seconds and then looked like swap weed or something algae like! Anyway, they did taste ok. I made little toppers for them out of lollypop sticks and punched out stars. They had a little gold thread of the side to look like shooting stars. Photo of the stars to follow.....................sometime!

Birthday owl

I saw this idea for the cute little punch art owl on splitcoast stampers I don't remember "hoo's" it was, there were quite a few different variations. I've used the magical wishes stamp from the Pony Party set, the one with the horse/unicorn.

A new start

OLDER POSTS
this is the link to my last blog ..............................
Lost in cyberspace with the last blog and unable to find a "person," a real one, out there to talk to so I could attach it to my new email. So, I'm starting again.  I then had to choose another blog title which I'm not good at all that creative wordy stuff coupled with the fact that there is always this hooha about intellectual property and peoples ideas. So I do sort of apologise if I accidentally use your idea and not acknowlwdge it when it has been so long ago and fragmented and reconstituted into something I enjoyed creating!!
Nothing creative but just funny photos of Mojo who waited for the BBQ to cool down enough for a great big lick!!
